Do you offer core and non-core vaccinations?
Absolutely! We provide both core vaccines (like rabies and distemper) and non-core options (such as Bordetella, Canine Influenza, or RHDV2 for rabbits), tailored to your pet’s lifestyle, risk factors, and species. No cookie-cutter protocols here, just thoughtful, individualized care.
Do you provide travel certificates?
Yes! Whether you're road-tripping across the U.S. or flying internationally, we can provide domestic and international health certificates. Just be sure to give us a heads-up in advance and do your research, international travel often comes with strict timelines and paperwork. Pricing varies by destination locations and requirements for travel. For more information on traveling with pets, please visit Travel With a Pet.
Are you able to treat aggressive pets?
We understand that fear, pain, or past trauma can sometimes cause pets to act out. Our Fear Free approach gives us a strong foundation for working with anxious or reactive pets, but safety comes first, for everyone involved. If needed, we may recommend a pre-visit medication plan, behavior support, or a referral for more intensive care.
Please be honest and upfront about any behavioral conditions when setting your appointment so we may plan accordingly.
How often should you have AnimaLL Mobile Veterinary Service come out to perform a checkup?
At least once a year for a comprehensive wellness exam. Senior pets, those with chronic conditions, or exotic species will need more frequent visits. Prevention is powerful, and regular checkups help us catch small issues before they become big ones.
Are annual pet vaccinations necessary?
Yes! Vaccines are the cornerstone of preventive care. Some are legally required (like rabies), while others protect against serious illnesses. During our wellness visit, we’ll discuss your pet’s needs and only recommend what’s truly necessary.
Do you offer microchipping?
Yes! Microchipping is one of the simplest, most effective ways to ensure your pet finds their way back home if lost. We can place a microchip at any routine appointment, and we’ll even walk you through the registration process.
How do I schedule a telehealth visit?
Telehealth visits are a great option for established clients who already have a valid Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). This means your pet must have had a recent in-person exam with us, which legally allows us to offer medical guidance, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing care through virtual appointments.
To schedule a telehealth visit, you can request an appointment through our website, call, or email us directly. Once confirmed, we’ll send you a secure link for your virtual visit.
👉 What telehealth can be used for:
- Recheck exams and follow-ups
- Quality of life and hospice discussions
- Nutrition and diet consultations
- Exotic pet husbandry support
- Behavior conversations
- Medication adjustments or clarifications
⛔ What telehealth can’t do:
Telehealth cannot be used to establish a VCPR, diagnose new conditions in unfamiliar patients, or replace a hands-on physical exam when one is needed. In those cases, we’ll recommend an in-home visit instead.
💵 Cost and Billing:
Telehealth visits are $65 for a 30-minute session, which is due in full at the time of booking. If your appointment goes beyond 30 minutes, we bill in 10-minute increments for any additional time.
Frequently Asked Questions - Appointments
How can I book an at-home visit?
Booking is simple. You can schedule directly through our website, give us a call, or send an email. We’re here to make the process as seamless as the visit itself. When booking online, you’re submitting a request for a preferred time frame, not securing an appointment outright. We’ll follow up shortly after to confirm availability and finalize details.
Why do you require a deposit to book an appointment?
We reserve dedicated time and travel for each visit; the $100 deposit helps ensure that our schedule remains available for the pets who need us most. We’re a concierge-style, one-doctor practice, so every appointment is carefully planned with intention and flexibility.
Think of it as holding your spot in line for personalized, door-to-door veterinary care and making sure we can show up fully prepared for you and your pet.
The deposit goes directly toward your final bill, it’s not an extra fee.
What can I expect from my at-home appointment?
Expect a calm, unrushed, and collaborative experience. We’ll meet your pet in their comfort zone, perform a thorough exam, discuss your questions, and craft a care plan that fits your lifestyle. No waiting rooms, no stress, just real, relationship-based medicine.
Initial appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes in order to spend time with your pet and your family. Subsequent appointments are generally 30-60 minutes long, depending on the nature of what your pet may need.
Do I need to be at home for my pet’s appointment?
Yes, we do ask that a responsible adult (18+) be present during the visit. Your insights are invaluable, and your pet will feel more at ease with you nearby.
What do I need to do prior to the vet's arrival?
We’ll send you a quick checklist in advance, but in general:
- Choose a quiet, well-lit space
- Secure your pet in the home
- Have any medical records handy
- Let us know about any concerns you want to discuss
We’ll handle the rest!
When will my veterinarian arrive?
You’ll receive a window of arrival when your appointment is confirmed. Because we're on the road, traffic and earlier appointments can affect exact timing, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Can I cancel my appointment at any time?
We get it life happens. We do ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid a fee, as we reserve time specifically for you and your pet. Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is canceled within 48 hours of your scheduled visit. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will receive a full refund of the deposit.
We understand that life happens, but this policy allows us to continue providing flexible, high-touch veterinary care to every family on our route.
