What is an Emergency and What Should You Do?

At AnimALL Mobile Veterinary Service, we’re passionate about providing personalized, in-home care, but we are NOT an emergency service. Because we operate by appointment and do not have access to advanced hospital equipment on the road, it’s important to know when your pet needs immediate care elsewhere.

Signs of a Veterinary Emergency May Include:

• Difficulty breathing or gasping for air
• Sudden collapse or inability to stand
• Seizures or severe neurological signs
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Trauma (e.g. hit by a car, attacked by another animal)
• Ingestion of a known toxin or foreign object
• Bloated, painful abdomen (especially in dogs)
• Labored egg-laying in birds or reptiles
• Severe lethargy, non-responsiveness, or pale gums
• Rapid decline in condition

If you're unsure, always err on the side of caution and seek care at a 24/7 emergency hospital.
